Urban Digital Twin Charta Wuppertal

Die Urban Digital Twin Charta wurde erstmalig auf dem 7. MPSC-Kongress in Kiel (18 und 19. November 2025) vorgestellt. Als Versuch zur Konkretisierung der Smart City Charta (BBSR/BBR: 2021) liefert die Urban Digital Twin Charta Wuppertal zwölf kurze, konzeptionelle Thesen zu Fragestellungen im Kontext der Urbanen Digitalen Zwillinge (UDZ). Was ist ein UDZ? Wie wird er umgesetzt? Warum braucht es ihn? Die Charta bildet eine Synthese des Verständnisses, das sich im Wuppertaler Projekt „DigiTal Zwilling“ herauskristallisiert hat. Sie soll Kommunen in Europa dabei behilflich sein, einen Urbanen Digitalen Zwilling als Katalysator der Digitalen Transformation zu begreifen. Im Rahmen der Charta werden die Grundidee, die Implementierung, die Potenziale und die Erfolgsfaktoren beschrieben.
